Weather…I only ever thought about the weather as a bad thing when I was young and excited to be playing Rugby League. A typical kiwi boy I would get butterflies and anxious before a game only for it to be cancelled due to the weather. I was devastated.
Once I hit senior rugby where your games are never cancelled did I change my thoughts?
I thought, hey, its only weather, and sure some times weather/nature is lethal, and yes, I did get upset as a youngster when my Rugby League game was cancelled. So I accepted that I couldn’t do anything about it and that’s how I have chosen to view it since.
I would love playing in the rain and gusty winds.
You will also find me out nowadays riding my MTB, walking, hiking and lots of other outdoor activities in wintery conditions.
Weather was here before us and will be here way after us so consider this;
- Rain = water- don’t forget the brolly
- Wind = messy hair lol
- Cold = throw another jumper on
- Hot = go for a swim
- Snow = snow fights, fun
- Weather = can’t control me ha-ha
